📌 Important Notice for U.S. Customers – Tariff-Related Surcharge
Due to U.S. import tariffs and related compliance requirements now imposed on many countries, including Canada, we are unfortunately required to apply a tariff-related surcharge on orders shipped to the United States.
This decision was not made lightly. The surcharge is not about profit or lost sales—it reflects the very real administrative, processing, and compliance costs now required for every shipment entering the U.S.
For each individual order, we must submit:
-
Detailed customs documentation
-
Item descriptions and valuation
-
Country-of-origin data
-
Product classification codes
-
Supporting documentation (and in some cases, images)
This process requires significant time and resources per shipment.
A simple example:
-
Item price: $12.00
-
Tariffs $2.87 , clearance $ 2.00 (US Fee) , processing fees $4.85 (US Fee), US Exchange on rate these fees $3.54 , and our new administrative costs $3.66,  $16.92 in additional fees. Â
- Your $12.00 item now cost you  $28.92
Selling a $12 item while absorbing $16.92 in tariff-related costs is simply not sustainable. In cases like this, the tariff cost nearly equals or surpass the value of the item itself because 99% of our camera parts and gear are made in Japan.
As a result, these additional costs must be passed on to U.S. customers, sometimes exceeding 100% surcharge, depending on the item. Each item will be individually checked for your convenience.
While many of our products are unique or difficult to source, similar tariffs and compliance challenges affect most international sellers shipping into the United States. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NON-US CUSTOMERS. Tariffs do not apply to any other country.
We truly regret any inconvenience this causes and appreciate your understanding. These measures affect all of us—customers, partners, and families on both sides of the border.
Thank you for your continued support.
